The Pakistan Fellows Program, which is Acumen Fund’s third Fellows Program behind the Global Fellows Program and the East Africa Fellows Program, held a selection conference in Karachi to identify 20 individuals who are actively driving social change in Pakistan to participate in this year-long fellowship initiative.
The program, which begins in January 2013, is designed so that Fellows remain in their jobs and are given leadership development and training similar to an executive MBA program. Upon completion, Fellows will join a growing network of Acumen Fund Fellows Alumni, offering an opportunity to leverage each other’s connections and experiences.
The goal of the program is to identify, train, and connect the next generation of leaders for Pakistan and for the world.
Although applications are now closed for the program, they will be reopened around August 2013 for the next class. We also suspect that Acumen Fund will begin other regional programs, judging from the statement “stay tuned for the next regional fellows program TBA” on their website.
