Project Wildfire, a Toronto-based social enterprise incubator that finds, sparks, and supports youth business ideas that serve the greater good, is putting together an intensive, 3-day social enterprise startup weekend on Lake Joseph in the Muskoka region of Ontario.
According to the incubator, this weekend will feature 3 of Toronto’s leading social enterprise and small business consultants, 6 interactive workshop sessions, 90-minute one-on-one sessions, and for the enjoyment of Canadian winters, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing is also on the list.
The weekend getaway is designed for:
- Social entrepreneurs in the startup phase, either still in planning or recently launched
- Established social entrepreneurs that are struggling to gain traction for their idea
- Entrepreneurs that are looking to change the world for the better
- Entrepreneurs that are passionate about both social mission and profit
At the time of publishing this article, a total of eight tickets remain up for grabs. A maximum of 2 entrepreneurs per business are allowed.
The startup weekend is scheduled for January 17 to January 20, 2013.
