NESsT, an organization that supports the development of social enterprises in 12 countries around the world, announced the launch of a new competition, in partnership with Romanian gas and oil producer Petrom, to create new Romanian social ventures.
From now until March 4, anyone with an idea to develop local communities can submit an application. The idea of the competition is to create jobs and solve problems within Romanian communities.
On March 18, 20 finalists will be announced and will receive up to €1,500 in financial support to test their ideas and develop a business plan. In late November, 10 winners will receive up to €32,000 in grants to implement their business plan and a year of non-financial support in financial management, marketing, legal, and distribution.
The competition will run in 28 communities across the country.
